The Technical Scientific Committee (CTS), on the basis of current epidemiological indices and in line with what has been recommended several times,
believes that "the conditions do not exist at the moment" to allow "further openings" in outdoor and indoor sporting events. :
the same CTS announces this, specifying that "it is still essential to ensure - for each event authorized by the regulations currently in force - the reservation and pre-assignment of the seat with a fixed seat, strict compliance with the physical spacing measures of at least 1 meter, hand sanitation and the use of masks ".
The Scientific Technical Committee announces in a press release that it has met today to analyze the document received from the Minister of Health concerning public participation in sporting events, prepared by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces.
In this regard, as regards public participation in the events of the various sports disciplines and series, "confirming that they represent the maximum expression of criticality for the transmission of the virus - also in consideration of the recent start of the school year, whose impact on the epidemic curve will have to be analyzed in the short term - the CTS believes that, on the basis of the current epidemiological indices and in line with what has been repeatedly recommended, the conditions do not exist - at the moment - to allow outdoor and outdoor events closed, the participation of spectators in the manner indicated in the document prepared by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces ".
It remains, however, "essential to ensure, for each event authorized by the regulations currently in force - specifies the CTS - the reservation and pre-assignment of a seat with a fixed seat, strict compliance with the physical spacing measures of at least 1 meter, hand sanitation and the use of masks ".
If the event cannot guarantee the aforementioned preventive measures, "the numbers indicated in the Prime Ministerial Decree - notes the Committee - must necessarily be reduced by the organizing bodies and placed under the evaluation and responsibility of the competent health authorities".
The Technical-Scientific Committee, "while understanding the expectations of a gradual return of spectators to enjoyment in the presence of sporting events, believes that the proposal made by the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces", for further openings to the public of sporting events, "may be reconsidered on the basis of the results of the monitoring of the impact of school and public administration reopening ".
