(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 26 - Clashes in London between the police and part of at least 15,000 'deniers' protesters against the anti-coronavirus restrictions that under the slogan "We DoNot Concent" (We do not consent) massed in TrafalgarSquare and Hyde Park .
British media, including conservative tabloid Daily Mail, write that Piers Corbyn, brother of former Labourist leader Jeremy, is among the protesters, alongside David Icke, one of the anti-lockdown leaders, who supports the conspiracy theory that the spread of the coronavirus is connected to 5G technology.
Some protesters threw water and bottles, the Guardian reported, shouting at the officers to "choose which side to stay".
The policemen responded with batons, leaving some demonstrators with obvious injuries.
At least three protesters and an officer were treated by medical personnel while the clashes are still ongoing.
The police wore riot helmets as the voltage rose.
Thousands of demonstrators took to the streets.
