Salary increase controversy. Di Maio, I will ask for clarification (ANSA)

After the attacks for the delays in the payment of the cig, for the chaos of the VAT numbers and the criticisms for the management of the so-called "bonus cunning", Pasquale Tridico is back in the eye of the political controversy.

This time for a salary increase that the INPS president would have obtained - even with retroactive effect in the form of a one-off bonus - thanks to an interministerial decree, signed last August 7 by the Minister of Labor, Nunzia Catalfo and by his colleague Economics, Roberto Gualtieri.

An increase which, as reported by La Repubblica today, would see the emoluments of the INPS president more than doubled - from the current 62 thousand to 150 thousand euros per year.

The news immediately found fertile ground among the oppositions already hard lined up against the Institute's leaders and which opened a real barrage against Tridico with a single common denominator: resignation immediately.

Among the first to intervene, the League, with its leader: "I have no words. Tridico pay the layoffs then apologize and resign", Matteo Salvini attacks from his social profiles which is immediately echoed by the party work manager Claudio Durigon who he wonders where "the monitoring offices of INPS are, those who in August had reported, in a public proscription list, the crafty ones of the 600 euro bonus".

But it is not only the League that attacks Tridico.

Even Fdi and Forza Italia align and compactly take sides against what is, says the president of the senators of Fi, Anna Maria Bernini, "the new frontier of grillism in power: the income of arrogance".

The majority is silent and the only one to speak, questioned by journalists during a stage of his tour in Campania, is Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio who, however, limits himself to saying: "I will ask for clarification on this in the next few hours".

But this is not enough.

And the list of criticisms gets longer.

Hard the two group leaders of the League, Massimiliano Romeo and Riccardo Molinari.

"It is unacceptable that, while thousands of Italians are still waiting for the cig, Tridico increases his salary, also demanding arrears, with the approval of the Five Stars and Minister Catalfo. But with what courage ...", writes the president of the Northern League senators .

"The 100,000 euro bonus to Tridico leaves us stunned", the House colleague echoes: "while thousands of Italians are waiting, Pd-5S are rewarding inability".

Forza Italia also does not give up.

"Workers are still waiting for layoffs and the INPS president has instead thought of increasing his salary", denounces the Italian vice president in the Senate, Licia Ronzulli.

"After the catastrophic management of the institution, starting from the failure to check applications for citizenship income, this new scandal requires an immediate change at the top of INPS", he adds explaining that "it is not acceptable that those who, to save the cost of a coffee a day, he wanted the cut in parliamentarians to allow his friends in top positions to double their salary ".
