Camera - Italian Center for Photography is preparing to celebrate its fifth birthday.
An important occasion that will be celebrated in style from 30 September to 4 October, with exhibitions, projections on the buildings, meetings, portfolio readings and visits.
It is also the right time to take stock after five years of intense activity.
Since its opening on October 1, 2015, Camera - whose direction has been entrusted to Walter Guadagnini, who succeeded Lorenza Bravetta since autumn 2016 - has organized 40 exhibitions, 120 meetings and has attracted 220,000 visitors.
With 'I Thursday in Camera', meetings open to the public, he brought 160 national and international guests to Turin.
"With pride and confidence in the future, we are preparing to celebrate the fifth anniversary: a first, not obvious goal. Since its establishment, the Camera Foundation has represented a virtuous example of collaboration between public and private, a commendable case of patronage, an interesting model, rarely explored in the world of culture in Italy ", underlines the president Emanuele Chieli.
"Five years ago the city gathered around Camera, today we try to bring Camera to the city, as we have done in this five years, collaborating with many people and with many institutions. Today we enjoy the fruit of the five-year commitment", he comments Guadagnini.
