ROME - "When this parenthesis linked to the Covid-19 pandemic ends, tourism in Italy will return stronger and more impetuous than before". The minister for cultural heritage and activities and tourism, Dario Franceschini, said this to ANSA during the 41st World Tourism Day organized by UNWTO.
"Culture and tourism will be central to the use of the Recovery Fund - adds the minister -. Great opportunities arise from crises: we are working on long-term strategic projects capable of rebuilding large numbers of tourism, but sustainable and respectful of the fragility of our landscape, of the artistic heritage. Not a 'hit and run' tourism, but cultured and intelligent and attentive to the specificities of the territories, starting from the many opportunities of rural tourism ". (HANDLE).
