(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, SEPTEMBER 27 - Thousands of people took part in the demonstration in Jerusalem yesterday evening near the official residence of Benyamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem.
The demonstration - against the policy of the coronavirus premium and with the request for his resignation for judicial levies - took place despite the lockdown decided by the government in the face of peaks of infection and in force until 11 October: the measures of the block that limit the right to demonstrations, as well as those about religious ceremonies during the holidays, have not yet been approved by the Knesset.
During the protest - which was preceded by car columns from all over the country heading towards Jerusalem - the police announced that five people were arrested and that there have been sustained incidents. The agents also ensured that the rules on spacing and use of the mask were respected during the event. Similar protests took place in Tel Aviv, in Caesarea - where Netanyahu has his private residence - and in other parts of the country.
