(ANSA) - ROME, SEPTEMBER 27 - The disturbance that is affecting Italy will continue to make its effects felt in the next few hours with rains, thunderstorms and strong winds over a good part of the country.
On the basis of the available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protection has issued a new weather alert which extends the one widespread yesterday and which foresees widespread precipitation starting from the evening of today, which locally may also be very intense and accompanied by hail, lightning and strong wind gusts on Emilia-Romagna and Veneto.
Twenty-two storms are also expected on Abruzzo, Molise, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto and Emilia-Romagna.
From the early hours of tomorrow the rains will affect Sardinia, southern Lazio, Campania, Basilicata and Calabria.
On the basis of the expected phenomena, the Department assessed an orange alert for tomorrow on Campania, northern Tyrrhenian Calabria, central-northern Sardinia and large sectors of Basilicata.
