Games are made.
The election will take place this Tuesday, but there is only one candidate for the presidency of the Césars: Véronique Cayla will therefore be elected to take the head of the association chaired until last February by Alain Terzian and, since seven months, by producer Margaret Menegoz.
Former president of the National Cinema Center, ex-president of Arte, Véronique Cayla, 70, will have as vice-president the filmmaker Eric Toledano, co-director with Olivier Nakache, of “Intouchables”, “Le Sens de la fête” or “Out of Standards”.
As part of the overhaul of the Caesars, the 182 newly elected members of the general assembly had until Sunday at 12 noon to submit their candidacy for the board of directors on the one hand and the presidency on the other.
To introduce themselves, film professionals had to form an equal pair (a man / a woman).
Only one pair - the one formed, therefore, by Véronique Cayla and Eric Toledano - appears as a candidate for the presidency.
Tuesday morning, during a general assembly to be held by videoconference because of the health context, the duo will therefore take the head of the Césars.
