The US actress Amanda Seyfried gave birth to a son.
Seyfried and her husband Thomas Sadoski shared this on Instagram.
Sadoski and she "made a little man," wrote Seyfried.
Otherwise, however, the couple held back with information.
As with the now three-year-old daughter, the name of the newborn is also a secret.
Years ago, Seyfried said in a podcast that she would not reveal her daughter's name.
The couple had not made the new pregnancy public either.
According to the US news portal “People”, Seyfried described her first pregnancy as “unintentional”.
However, she was "the greatest blessing", said the actress at the time, around four months after the birth of her daughter.
The interest in social networks does not seem to diminish the couple's discretion.
Within a few hours, Seyfried's post was liked almost 190,000 times.
The actress immediately used the attention gained in this way to appeal for donations and published a statement from two non-profit organizations that support children in crisis and war zones.
"Since our daughter was born three years ago, helping innocent children who are brutally hit by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives."
Anyone who wants to help her family of four should support the work of the organizations by donating, wrote Seyfried.
The actress, who made a name for herself in various US soaps as a teenager, began her career with the comedy "Girls Club - Caution Biting!", After which she appeared in 2006 in the teenage drama "Alpha Dog".
The now 30-year-old had her breakthrough alongside Meryl Streep in the Abba musical film "Mamma Mia!"
