Israeli theater actor Rami Baruch won the Best Actor award at a prestigious awards festival in China for his role in a play by Hanoch Levin "Eshkava"

Some good news that comes from China and does not deal with the virus that disrupted our lives: The Cameri Theater Actor, Rami Baruch, won the Best Actor Award at the most prestigious Theater Awards Festival in China, which is being held for the 30th year.
The win is even more exciting considering the fact that in the same category many Chinese players are nominated alongside Baruch.
Baruch won for his role in "Eshkava", a play by Hanoch Levin, which has been shown in the Cameri for 21 consecutive years and was shown in China last year.
Actress Estee Kosowitzky, his partner, was also nominated for an award in the Best Actress category.
"This is a greeting from the past," Baruch laughs in a telephone conversation after being informed of the victory, "as if it suddenly reminds you that what we do is important and vital and brings respect to the State of Israel. The artistic director of the Cameri Theater, Gilad Kimhi, said: "Eshkava is a masterpiece, Rami Baruch and Esti Kosowitzky are exemplary actors, we are proud of them and happy with their joy."
