This Tuesday, Public Health France recorded, over the last 24 hours, 8,051 Covid-19 contaminations, as well as 59 new deaths in total.
The total number of deaths due to the new coronavirus is now 31,893, including 21,201 (+ 59) in hospitals and 10,692 in medico-social establishments, including nursing homes.

The figure for new contaminations remains high, with 8,051 new contaminations.
Last Friday, a peak of 16,000 new infections was reported by Public Health France.
More than 1,200 clusters under investigation
The test positivity rate continues to increase, being at 7.6%, against 7.5% Monday and 7.4% Sunday.
In terms of hospitalizations, 3,984 patients have been admitted to hospital following an infection over the past seven days.
Among them, 815 new hospitalizations occupy a bed in the intensive care unit, indicates Public Health France.
1,265 clusters are under investigation, including 244 in nursing homes.
In total, 64 departments are classified by the institution in a high “situation of vulnerability”.
