(ANSA) - TEL AVIV, 29 SEPTEMBER - The lockdown in Israel against the spread of the coronavirus will probably last "more than a month" and could "take much longer". Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu said this, thus confirming what was already anticipated by Health Minister Yuli Edelstein. Netanyahu then appealed to "all citizens to obey the rules, without exception", adding that economic aid may be withdrawn to businesses that do not comply with the restrictions.
The current lockdown is in effect until 11 October, the end of the Jewish holidays. (HANDLE).
