A 70 year old jeweler has overpowered a robber in Timmendorfer Strand.
A masked man armed with a pistol came into the shop and threatened the jeweler, the police and the public prosecutor said.
The incident took place on Monday.
According to investigators, the robber came into the store around 5 p.m. with a gun and a mouth and nose cover and asked the shop owner to put jewelry in a jute bag he had brought with him.
According to the information, there was a tussle in which the jeweler overpowered the perpetrator and held him until the police arrived.
Both men were injured and taken to hospitals.
The criminal police and public prosecutor's office have started the investigation.
The suspect is a 48-year-old from Lower Saxony.
