At first he thought of a flu: US actor Jim Parsons survived Covid-19 well, but one symptom hit him harder than expected.

Big Bang Theory "star Jim Parsons and his husband Todd Spiewak said they were infected with the coronavirus." Todd and I both had it early on.

It was around the middle of March.

We didn't know what it was.

We thought we had colds, "said the US actor on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show.

Eventually, however, they also lost their sense of smell and taste, said Parsons.

It is a symptom that those infected with corona often complain.

"I didn't realize how completely the sense of taste and smell could have disappeared," said Parsons, who has since overcome the disease.

The loss of taste was twice as hard for him because of the quarantine: "When you're in quarantine and really can't do anything other than eat, oh my God, that was brutal".

Loss of appetite and nausea, on the other hand, did not bother Parsons.

He just ate everything without tasting anything, said the 47-year-old.

Painting courses occupied

In quarantine, he also devoted himself to other "creative elements" because acting was out of the question.

He took part in courses in painting and creative writing - both with modest success, as Parsons now said.

Parsons is known from the US series "The Big Bang Theory".

There played the role of the scientist Sheldon Cooper for twelve years.
