(ANSA) - VENICE, 30 SEPT - The Superintendency of Public Works has approved the emergency procedure for lifting the Mose. In what remains the functional test phase - the superintendent Cinzia Zincone tells ANSA - it has been confirmed that "the barriers can be raised by 130 cm on the medium sea". It could happen as early as Saturday, when high water on these levels is expected in Venice. The decision to raise the gates rests with the Commissioner, Elisabetta Spitz, and the Superintendent himself. "At least the forecast of our center - adds Zincone - is precisely 130 centimeters. We will have to monitor, up to the limit of 6 hours from the event (technical time of closing of the pleasure ports), because after the procedure it cannot be changed". (HANDLE).
