(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 01 - Infections for Covid 19 are splashing in Italy: in the last 24 hours 2,548 new cases have been recorded, an increase that had not occurred for over five months and which was identified with a record number of swabs: about 118,236 13 thousand more than yesterday. The total number of people infected since the beginning of the emergency rises to 317,409. The increase in the number of victims also dates back to: 24 in one day, compared to 19 yesterday, for a total of 35,918 since the beginning of the emergency. The current deposits are instead 52,647, 1,384 more than Wednesday. The data from the Ministry of Health also confirm the growth of hospitalized patients: today there are 291 people in intensive care, 11 more in the last 24, while in the ordinary wards they are 3,095, fifty more than yesterday.
