Letter from the executive, the group's accusations are unacceptable and the new proposal is not suitable to close the dispute (ANSA)

And open war between the government and Aspi, to the sound of letters, accusations and complaints.

"The new proposal that you recently communicated to us, which modifies the terms of the settlement agreement and assumes a 'dual track' transfer process, appears completely different from the conditions and terms indicated in the original proposal of 14 July last".

The Government writes this in the letter sent to the top management of Atlanti to and Autostrade per l'Italia, which ANSA was able to see.

"In silence about the other - he adds -, the indicated process remains uncertain in terms of timing and final outcome, with the result that appears absolutely unsuitable for defining the dispute".

The new process, which was communicated to the government in the letters of September 29, is also noted, "is not consistent with the commitments you jointly made to the government on July 14".

The letter also defines "unacceptable" that the two companies make "the serious accusation against the Government of wanting to 'prevent the carrying out of a transparent competitive market process'" and underlines how "the involvement of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, as shown in the correspondence ", has" always been hypothesized on the basis of competitive criteria and current market practices ".

Finally, it should be noted, "this state of uncertainty and the continuous changes requested by you are producing the effect of delaying investments and improvements in the infrastructural network, which you had promised on several occasions and which represent an unavoidable need in the interest of users ".

Atlantia immediately replied point by point, brandishing the government's accusations on the revision of the agreement of 14 July as false and presenting a new complaint to Consob and the European Commission asking them to "urgently assess the measures to be taken

following the statements made to the markets opened by the Minister of Economic Development, Stefano Patuanelli, and by the Minister of Infrastructures and Transport, Paola De Micheli, which led to the suspension of negotiations for excess of a discount ".
