(ANSA) - ROME, 02 OCT - A few weeks before the 2020 American presidential elections, a double prime-time event on 12 and 13 October on Sky and streaming on NOW TV with Challenge to the president - The Comey Rule, of which the trailer has been released official.


    The long-awaited political drama, in two parts of two hours each, is based on the bestseller A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, andLeadership, the memoir (at number 1 on the New York Times) by James Comey, which tells from the point of view of 'former director of the FBI the events that led to his removal from the Bureau at the hands of the current President of the United States Donald Trump.

Jeff Daniels as former FBI director and Brendan Gleeson as the tycoon for a Showtime series signed by Billy Ray (CaptainPhillips - Offshore Attack, The Inventor of Tales).


    Part 1 focuses on Russiagate's early stages and the FBI's investigation of Hillary Clinton's emails and their decisive impact on the 2016 Election Night, when Donald Trump stunned the world and was elected 45th President of the United States of America. .

The second part, on the other hand, is the day-to-day story of the problematic relationship between Comey and Trump, and focuses on the first months, intense and chaotic, of the presidency of the American magnate.
