The Tokyo Stock Exchange returns to trading regularly after yesterday's technical malfunction that prevented its opening, and begins trading with a plus sign. The Nikkei benchmark index marks an increase of 0.47% to 23. (ANSA)


(ANSA) - TOKYO, 02 OCT - The Tokyo Stock Exchange returns to regular trading after yesterday's technical malfunction that prevented its opening, and begins trading with the plus sign.

The benchmark Nikkei index rose by 0.47% to 23,294.80 adding 109 points, following the consolidation of the US stock indices during the night.

On the exchange rate, the yen remains stable and trades at 105.50 against the dollar, and just below 124 against the euro.
