Coronavirus in France: more than 12,500 new cases and 32 deaths in the last 24 hours

Public Health France has counted 12,565 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.

The figure is high but lower than the day before.

Saturday 16,972 new cases of Covid-19 had been counted, a record.

The positivity rate for tests carried out in the past 24 hours is 8.2% against 7.9% on Saturday.

Public Health France also announced that it had recorded 32 additional deaths in 24 hours in hospital services, against 49 on Saturday.

Since the start of the epidemic, 32,230 people have died from the coronavirus, including 21,449 in hospitals.

Still in the hospital, the number of treatments continues to grow.

Over the last seven days, 4,264 patients have been admitted to the country's hospital services.

Among them, 893 patients were hospitalized in the intensive care units.

In addition, 54 new sources of contamination have been detected in the past 24 hours, against 80 on Saturday.

In total, 1,340 clusters remain under investigation in the country, including 265 within nursing homes.
