TODI (PERUGIA) - 53 evocative analogue images, printed in black and white and in large format, that John R. Pepper, an all-round artist, created during his "spectacular photographic journey", which lasted three years in most, will be exhibited in Todi. remote deserts of the world.

This is a way to narrate the photographer's long journey (18,000 kilometers traveled) between Dubai, Egypt, Iran, Israel, Mauritania, Oman, Russia and the United States.

From 3 October to 28 November, his photographic exhibition 'Inhabited Desert' can be visited in Todi (free admission, for info tel. 075.8956227) set up at the Civic Museum and Pinacoteca (Sala delle Pietre) and at the Eagle's Nest Complex.

Created by the Municipality of Todi, the exhibition can count on the contribution of the Culture and Art Foundation, an offshoot of the Terzo Pilastro Foundation and on the collaboration of the United States Embassy in Italy.

The exhibition was preceded by an international conversation-round table entitled 'Il confine absente.

Conflicts and new harmonies' in the Council room of the Town Hall of Todi which, in addition to the photographer, also the journalist-moderator Duilio Giammaria.

Pepper, who lives between Palermo, Paris and New York and started his career in the world of analogue black and white photography at the age of 14, with this exhibition he arrived in Todi after having debuted in Paris and completed an exhibition cycle which has already touched Tehran, Tel Aviv, Dubai and St. Petersburg.

In 2021 the exhibition will arrive in various cities in Europe and the United States.
