Italy and for the first time after almost six months, they return to break through the threshold of 3 thousand cases in a single day.
The daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health confirms what Minister Roberto Speranza reiterated: "the data say that the infection is growing and it is necessary to raise the threshold of attention".
In fact, the numbers say that the total number of infected people - which includes the currently positive, the victims and the healed or discharged - has reached 333,940, with an increase of 3,678 in 24 hours: since April 16, in full lockdown, they were not registered. numbers so high.
It is true that the 3,678 new cases were identified with 125,314 swabs, the record since the beginning of the emergency and over 25 thousand more than on Tuesday (with a ratio between infected and swabs carried out which is 2.93%, slightly increase);
but it is equally true that an increase of a thousand cases in a single day was not recorded since the darkest period of the emergency.
A figure, the latter, which is also confirmed in the number of victims: 31 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 36,061.
Such an increase was last recorded at the end of June.
"We still have numbers within the limits of normal management - underlines the Commissioner for the emergency Domenico Arcuri - but we must prepare ourselves for the possibility that they will grow".
In fact, all the other indicators contained in the bulletin are also on the rise, reinforcing the trend towards a "slow and progressive" worsening of the epidemiological curve, now in its tenth consecutive week.
The current positives have in fact reached 62,576, 2,444 more than on Tuesday.
Of these, 3,782 are hospitalized in the ordinary wards of hospitals, an increase of 157 in 24 hours, 337 are in intensive care, an increase of 18 compared to yesterday, and 58,457 are in home isolation, i.e. 2,267 more in one day.
Less evident, however, is the increase in those discharged or recovered: 1,204 which bring the total from the beginning of the emergency to 235,303.
The latest indication that comes from the numbers of the Ministry of Health - pending the weekly monitoring on Friday - is that concerning the spread of the virus in the regions.
And once again - the situation has not changed for a week now - Campania is the region with the greatest increase in cases, 544. There are also four other regions that have at least 300 new infected: Lombardy, with 520 cases, Veneto with 375, Lazio with 357 and Tuscany with 300. 'Heavy' numbers also in Piedmont (+287), Sicily (213), Puglia (196) and Emilia Romagna (193) while none region, as has unfortunately been the case for days now, is 'covid free'.
