"During the visit, a respiratory patient died before my eyes - it's chilling," Communications Minister Yoaz Handel said today (Wednesday) about the tragic incident that occurred during his tour of the coron department of Ziv Medical Center.

During the visit, the Minister toured the departments and heard from the center's director, Prof. Salman Zarqa and the medical and nursing staff, about dealing with the plague.

Together with Prof. Zarka and the director of nursing, Aryeh Bitan, the Minister defended and toured the Corona Department.

Following the death of one of the ward's respiratory patients, Handel said the tragic event "obliges us all to stop the conspiracies and politics behind the disease. Anyone who comes here can not think otherwise, the sights cannot be ignored. Anyone who goes to his world is a loss of a whole world."

The Minister of Communications praised the medical staff at the place.

According to him, public attention is far from the center, but the health reality in the north is complicated.

"We are in an economic crisis as well as a crisis of confidence. We must now stop and fight the disease together. To do that, one must first acknowledge the existence of the disease, not deny it," he noted.

Handel also asked the public to put politics aside for a moment: "We made mistakes, I hope we do not do more later, but you, take responsibility for your families. Stay away from mass gatherings and ensure isolation. To public figures, politicians, the media and opinion leaders - I read To set a personal example. "

For his part, the director of the medical center, Prof. Salman Zarqa, thanked Minister Handel for his visit, which exposed him to the daily struggle with the corona plague.

Prof. Zarqa praised the medical staff and thanked the Ministry of Communications for its willingness to help promote the center for the benefit of patients.

Prior to the tour, the two met with professional teams from the Ministry of Communications and Ziv Medical Center to examine a package of assistance in the field.
