(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 07 - The Nobel Prize for Chemistry awarded this year Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer A. Doudna, the two researchers who have developed the DNA cut-paste technique that allows you to rewrite the code of life.

For the first time in the history of the Nobel Prize dedicated to science, two women share the most coveted prize from researchers around the world.

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry since its establishment in 1901 has so far been awarded to five women.
