Bavarian customs officials caught a woman during an inspection who apparently illegally imported a car and a watch.
According to a statement, the 43-year-old paid 16,000 euros in taxes.
Accordingly, the officers checked the vehicle at the Bavarian-Austrian border, on the A 96 at Sigmarszell.
One of the customs officers noticed the watch on the passenger's wrist.
When asked about this, she said that the watch was part of her Swiss heritage.
The SUV, which is registered in Switzerland, is one of them.
Clock not reported
What the woman said she didn't know: she should have reported the watch and the car to customs when she entered the country.
Since she failed to do this, the woman reportedly paid import duties of 16,000 euros.
A preliminary investigation was initiated against the woman registered in England on suspicion of tax evasion.
Customs reported a similar case last year.
At that time a man was caught with a Porsche registered in Switzerland, which he had also not reported.
The man paid a total of 38,500 euros - the sum he paid in cash.
