It is apparently about hundreds of thousands of euros: A bus driver of the Berlin public transport is said to have repeatedly faked accidents with accomplices. The LKA searched 14 apartments.

The Berlin police are investigating 13 suspects who are said to have cheated an insurance company.

According to a report, a bus driver from the Berlin transport company is at the heart of the process.

The 31-year-old therefore faked eleven accidents between 2017 and 2020.

According to the police, they all occurred during empty journeys without passengers.

The man apparently drove deliberately against parked, high-priced cars. The 13 suspects are said to have demanded a total of 300,000 euros from an insurance company.

According to the police, the suspects also include motor vehicle experts.

A spokeswoman for the Berlin police could not answer questions about the actions of the suspects, the owners of the cars or the involvement of the experts.
