(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 09 - A few weeks before the American presidential elections, in a double and awaited prime-time event on October 12 and 13 on Sky Atlantic and streaming on Now Tv arrives in Italy Challenge to the president - The Comey Rule, based laminiserie on A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, andLeadership, the memoir (at number 1 on the New York Times chart) of James Comey, former director of the FBI.


    In an adaptation signed by Billy Ray (Captain Phillips - Offshore Attack, The Fable Inventor), who is a screenwriter and director of the project, the series tells from Comey's point of view the events that led to his departure from Bureau at the hands of Donald Trump, strongly critical of his handling of politically incendiary investigations such as the Email-gate first - against Hillary Clinton - and then Russiagate, which involved Trump.


    A two-part, two-hour Showtime political drama starring a cast led by two-time Emmy Award winner for The Newsroom Jeff Daniels as Comey and BrendanGleeson (In Bruges - The Conscience of the Murderer, Mr. Mercedes) in those of the current tenant of the White House.

The series tells of the turbulent relationship between two extremely powerful men who will come to clash, divided by personalities, ethics and loyalties that could not be more different.
