A maxi pack of 15 kilos of sand and pebbles from Tuscany to Sardinia: this is a new return after being taken about 40 years ago on the coasts of the island, including Piscinas and Is Arutas.
A letter from Elena, a tourist who came from Badina - it was the 80s and 90s - came to spend her holidays in Sardinia accompanying the package, received by the Sardegna Rubata e Depredata association.
"Recently emptying the family cellar I found some old crates with my games of the sea, rummaging through those memories I had a blow to the heart .... now faded bottles with sand taken away by a little girl perhaps as a souvenir or perhaps in order not to detach too much from that place of the heart - he writes in his letter published by the association on Facebook along with the photos of the package and its contents - One thing was clear to me right away .... this sand must return to its place at any cost .... Together with my 5-year-old daughter we caressed and smelled that piece of Sardinia and, taking care not to waste even a grain, we packed it with a solemn promise, we will see you again soon ...
