Trick to return old carrots to new condition (TikTok / lottiedalziel)
A woman shared a trick trick she found that she claims turns old, soft carrots into edible, crunchy and fresh and all it takes is water.
Lottie Delizel from Sydney, Australia, showed her viewers a smart patent that requires only a glass of water and five minutes of work.
In her viral video that has already garnered over a million and a half views, Lottie wrote: "Do you have old, dried carrots in the fridge? Well, do not throw them away, they have probably just dried. Put them in water for five minutes and it does the job. They are like new."

Indeed in the video you can see how it soaks the carrots that look uncooked in a bowl of water for five minutes and the carrots become much firmer and fresher.
The viewers tried this trick and were quite enthusiastic.
One of them wrote: "It works, it first of all helps to peel them."
"It works but only after a few hours," wrote another.
There were those who bothered to explain that what is happening here is a process of osmosis in which the water from the jar is absorbed in parts into the saltier parts of the carrot.
While some surfers questioned the effectiveness of the trick and said it was better to just toss the carrots, one viewer shared his method of keeping the carrots fresh and said he "keeps the carrots in the water in the fridge. I replace the water all over and they are kept for me for a long time. ".
