Canadian soprano Erin Wall dead at 44

Born November 4, 1975 in Canada, Erin Wall graduated in music from Western Washington University, Shepherd School of Music, and also Rice University in Houston.

The powerful and theatrical Canadian soprano made her international stage debut in 2002 with the London Symphony Orchestra and Sir Andrew Davis.

In 2003, she reached the final of the prestigious BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition.

Mariss Jansons, Pierre Boulez and Yannick Nézet-Séguin have worked with her.

I Can See Clearly Now

Despite the illness, the opera singer will continue her work until January 2020. Almost until her last breath she continued to tour to sing around the world.

On January 19, 2020, she was on stage for the last time with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and conductor Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla as Magna Peccatrix in

Mahler's Symphony No.

8, her latest triumph.
