Buying beer after 11 p.m. - that's no longer possible in Berlin.
Because a curfew has been in effect in the capital since Saturday.
Restaurants and bars must now remain closed between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Even gas stations and the famous Spätis have to lock their beer fridges.
In addition, only five people or people from two households are allowed to meet at night.
With the measures, the Berlin government wants to curb the sharply increasing number of corona infections.
The new rules have met with understanding among many young people.

"For us young people it is definitely a change, because it is just that you are always on the road with more than five people. And above all you are on the road between 11pm and 6am."
"Of course it's kind of annoying. It's stupid, of course, if you can't celebrate your birthday now, for example. But I think it's not unfounded. Especially here at Rosenthaler Platz. It has often been shown that young people in particular are more frequent sometimes not paying attention to the rules. "
"It is definitely right and also important, I think. Otherwise it will really drag on forever. And we want it to be over quickly."
The Berlin gastronomy has already heavily criticized the curfew.
Several restaurateurs are taking action against this with an urgent application to the administrative court.
According to the court, a decision can be expected in the coming week.
