(ANSA) - FLORENCE, 10 OCT - Sold out today at the Odeon cinema in Florence for the 'reading' of Nanni Moretti: the director has decided to accompany his 'Cario Diario', which returns to the hall thanks to the Cineteca di Bologna in a restored to the public excerpts from the notes taken during the making of the film which earned him the directorial prize at Cannes in 1994.
"I'm here for you in the flesh" he said before giving away his memories in front of an audience who thanked him at the end even with a standing ovation.
Also adding: "I feel that my films are already being restored".
The readings start on April 27, 1992 and end on November 19, 1993, one week after the film's release.
An hour of stories, including the one linked to November 2, 1993, when Moretti paid homage to Federico Fellini, who passed away a few days before, noting among other things that passing in front of the coffin it seemed too small.
Moretti will accompany his restored film also in Bologna (again today), in Turin and Milan (tomorrow), and finally in Rome (from 16 to 18 October), while yesterday he had started this tour from Perugia.
