The actress who played Berta in 'Two and a Half Men' passed away from complications of cardiac arrest. See how her co-stars fired her.

On October 12,

Conchata Ferrell

died in a Los Angeles hospital, peacefully and accompanied by her family, according to 'Deadline'.

The death of the 77-year-old actress was due to complications from cardiac arrest.

As soon as the news was confirmed, several of Conchata's co-stars on the series '

Two and a Half Men

', including

Charlie Sheen

, paid tribute to the one who became famous for the role of the unforgettable housekeeper Berta.

"An absolute sweetness, a consummate professional, a genuine friend, a painful and shocking loss," the 55-year-old actor wrote on his Twitter account.

"Berta, your work as a housekeeper was a bit suspicious, your care for people was perfect," she concluded in her emotional farewell.

For his part,

Jon Cryer

dedicated several

posts

to his former screen partner, whom he called a "beautiful human."

"I remember his first day on '2 1/2 Men," recalled the 55-year-old star on Twitter.

"It was our second episode and I felt so lucky that they could have included her on the show. I enthusiastically told her what a fan I was of hers and she just refused to believe it."

Conchata Ferrell was born on March 28, 1943 in Charleston, West Virginia, and during her life as an actress she also participated in 'Edward Scissorhands' and 'Erin Brockovich', films that Jon suggested to people to watch.

In his tribute to Conchata, Cryer added, "I'm glad I absolutely knew how lucky I was to share the stage with her. I cherished every moment and will continue to do so until we meet again. I have a feeling she will call me 'Zippy.' .

Lee Aronsohn

, co-creator of 'Two and a Half Men', also dedicated emotional words to Ferrell.

"A warm and wonderful woman, it was always a pleasure to be around her on set. My heart goes out to her husband Arnie, who was always by her side. Bye, Chatty."

For the fans, Berta will always be the real boss of the house, and not Charlie Harper.

For that character, Conchata earned two Emmy nominations in the competing category of Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Recalling the process of her audition, Conchata couldn't help but recall what it was like to have read the script for the first time.

"I really liked the material," she once told reporters in 2014. "I love playing women who have the nerve to do things that I don't have the nerve to do, and Berta is definitely one of those."
