The newspapers of 20 Hours of TF1 and France 2 logically recorded very high audiences with the presidential intervention.

Good audiences on bad days… On Wednesday evening, 20.92 million people watched Emmanuel Macron announce a curfew at 9 p.m. in 8 major French cities, including Ile-de-France, in an interview broadcast live from The Elysée in the newspapers of 20 Hours of TF 1 and France 2. According to Médiamétrie, the audience share of this interview conducted by Anne-Sophie Lapix and Gilles Bouleau is 70.7%.

More than two viewers out of three present Wednesday between 7:55 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. in front of their television sets were therefore watching the President of the Republic.

In detail, 11.89 million viewers were in front of the TF 1 newscast, or 40.2% of the public aged four and over.

They were 9.03 million to follow that of France 2, or 30.5% market share.

The hearings of LCI and Franceinfo, which also broadcast the interview, will not be known until midday.

Very high scores compared to a traditional intervention.

By way of comparison, 8.1 million French people had followed the last interview on July 14.

But last night's audience remains significantly lower than those of the solemn speeches Emmanuel Macron made during the entire confinement and which broke historical audience records, bringing together up to 36.7 million French people.

"Daily" and "Hands off my post" overdue

This interview logically battered the competition for an hour.

"Quotidien" saw its viewers slip away at 7:55 pm.

Between 8:20 p.m. and 9:20 p.m., the second part of Yann Barthès' program still attracted 1.21 million people.

On C8, “Touche pas à mon poste” fell to 385,000 people during the interview, while it returned to its usual level from 8:50 pm, with 925,000 faithful (3.5%) until the blow. final whistle.

Note that TF 1 was lucky.

The interview ended just in time for the players of the French football team who were facing Croatia in the Nations League to enter the field.

The match, which ended in a victory for the Blues of Didier Deschamps (2-1), gathered 6.38 million football fans, or 26.4% of the market share.

Obviously the best audience of the TV night by far.

La Une is ahead of the fiction evening of France 2 (13.5% of PDA), the “Meilleur Pâtissier” of M 6 (13.7%) and the magazine “Des Racines et des Ailes” on France 3 (9.8% ).

With 770,000 viewers watching the film "Dirty Dancing", TMC is the weak leader of a very weak TNT Wednesday evening.
