(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 16 - The uncertainty of the Covid crisis weighs on Italian families. The Bank of Italy reports in its Economic Bulletin a "decline in consumption" in the second quarter (and a recovery, albeit partial, in the third) together with "a sharp increase in the savings rate". A revival, explains Via Nazionale, which "was initially affected by the obstacles to purchases of goods and services resulting from the closure of non-essential activities, then increasingly due to precautionary reasons, connected with the persistent worsening of unemployment expectations": (ANSA).
