(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 16 - "The August decree, definitively approved by the Chamber, contains important measures to support and relaunch the economy. There are many environmental ones, a sign that there can be no recovery unless in the name of sustainability, and a new way of interpreting development while respecting the environment ".
Thus the Minister of the Environment Sergio Costa comments, in a note, the definitive go-ahead of the Chamber to the provision.
Among the environmental measures present in the dl there is the increase in resources for the safety of buildings and the territory, 900 million euros for 2021 and 1,750 million for 2022;
urgent measures regarding calamitous atmospheric events, with 7 million allocated to Verona, Vicenza and Padua;
the refinancing of the demolition fund for 1 million euros in 2020;
the increase of resources for maintenance and energy efficiency of schools in provinces and metropolitan cities approximately 1.7 billion.
And, again: the green light in 2021 for the production of fully recycled bottles: on an experimental basis, from 1 January to 31 December 2021, (the minimum percentage of virgin polyethylene terephthalate will not apply for polyethylene terephthalate bottles).
The decree also provides for incentives for the production of thermal energy from renewable sources and for increasing the energy efficiency of small-sized buildings, used for school and hospital use by the National Health Service and determined at 100 percent of eligible costs.
