(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 16 - On the occasion of World Food Day, today October 16, recipes and advice from the best chefs arrive on Google Arts & Culture - from MassimoBottura, UN ambassador chef, and the team of OsteriaFrancescana in Modena at the kitchens of the various Refectories in the world (inclusive spaces where good and healthy meals are served by volunteers to the most vulnerable people) born thanks to the Foodfor soul project, conceived by Bottura himself with his wife Lara Gilmore - to help discover how a healthy food system can play a in leading to a more sustainable model.

Around a third of food production around the world is wasted every year, while nearly a billion people go without food.

Food for Soul restarts from these data for a call to action: the change starts from our daily actions in the kitchen, then expands to convivial tables and sensitizes inter-communities, which in turn will take action to transform the food system into a healthier and sustainable model . "Culture generates knowledge. It leads us to awareness and generates responsibility. Culture is the first step towards change" underlines Massimo Bottura. Hence his "mission" on Google Arts & Culture for the fight against food waste, the common thread of the three online recipes: Strawberry Gazpacho, Carbonara with banana peels and risottocacio and pepper, dishes are created with food surpluses.

Thanks to the Google Arts & Culture platform, from today Foodfor Soul, the promoters announce, it shares in an even more engaging and interactive way a series of contents that interactively tell the philosophy and the initiatives of the Modena non-profit.

"This is the first step towards a collaboration through which Google Arts & Cultures will support the organization in its commitment to a healthy and fair food system" conclude Bottura and Gilmore.

The first chapter of Food for Soul's collaboration with Google Arts & Culture opens at go.co/foodforsoul: Cooking is a gesture of love, for us and for the planet.
