Pope Francis says this in a video message to FAO members on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of its establishment. "For the most part, it is caused by an uneven distribution of the fruits of the earth, coupled with the lack of investment in the agricultural sector, the consequences of climate change and the increase of conflicts in different areas of the planet. On the other hand, tons of food is thrown away. We cannot remain numb or paralyzed. We are all responsible. " (HANDLE).
