A 41-year-old trans person is allegedly the victim of a physical attack in Berlin.
On Friday night, a man in the Schöneberg district threw a tow hook from a moving car and hit her on the shin, the police said.
A few minutes later, the car is said to have passed the transperson again.
This time an occupant of the car hit her on the back with a small cobblestone and injured her slightly.
A hate motive for the act cannot be ruled out, the police said.
A spokesman for the authority told SPIEGEL that the injured person provided information.
The state security of the State Criminal Police Office took over the investigation.
