Cases still on the rise, 11,705. There are 69 deaths

The cases of Covid in Italy are still on the rise: 11,705 new infections in the last 24 hours according to the bulletin of the Ministry of Health. Compared to yesterday, when it was close to 11,000 (10,925), there are 780 more. (HANDLE)


(ANSA) - ROME, OCTOBER 18 - Covid cases in Italy are still on the rise: 11,705 new infections in the last 24 hours according to the bulletin of the Ministry of Health.

Compared to yesterday, when it was close to 11,000 (10,925), there are 780 more.


   There were 69 deaths, up from 47 yesterday.

There were 146,000 bulks, down by about 20,000 compared to yesterday.

The total infected are over 414 thousand.


   The incidence of the number of positive people with respect to the total number of tampons carried out in the last 24 hours (precisely 7.99%) is nearly 8% and is increasing.


    There are 126,237 people currently positive about Covid in Italy (9,302 more than yesterday).

Of these, 7,131 (+514) are hospitalized in ordinary wards while 750 (+45) are in intensive care: 110 are in Lombardy, 99 in Lazio, 78 in Campania and 70 in Sicily.

Deaths reached 36,543 (+69) and a total of 251,461 (+2334) recovered.


    Lombardy is approaching 3,000 more infections in 24 hours (2,975) with Piedmont (1,123), Campania (1,376) and Lazio (1,198, but with about 200 in recent days) which have registered an increase of over a thousand cases since yesterday .

According to data from the Ministry of Health, strong increase also in Tuscany (906) and in Veneto (800).

The region with the lowest increase in infections is Molise with 27 and Basilicata with 48. (ANSA).
