A trend that should continue in the coming days, because of the time needed for any health measure to produce its effects.

The latest figures published this Sunday by Public Health France show 29,837 new coronavirus contaminations recorded since Saturday.

This is less than the 32,427 positive cases identified the day before, but this result remains worrying because of the recurring delays in reporting noted on Sunday.

Authorities had reported 25,086 new contaminations on Friday and 30,621 on Thursday.

85 new deaths

In the last 24 hours, the health authorities deplore 85 new deaths linked to the coronavirus, against 90 on Saturday.
