The Excellence and Creativity Authority exited today, the fifth batch of students of the academic programs in the authority, in the presence of only graduates and those in charge of the Commission and academic programs, in compliance with the measures to address the Corona epidemic, on the runway of Damascus University.

The class includes 42 male and female students who graduated from the National Center for Excellence and pursued their university studies within the academic programs prepared for them as distinguished students at the Universities of Damascus and Tishreen and the Higher Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology in Damascus within the specializations of “Mechatronics, Information Systems, Communications, Aviation, Laser Technology, Biomedical Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering.”

In his speech, Dr. Khaldoun Darwish, Director of Academic Programs at the Commission, spoke about excellence as a pioneering national project that was launched 10 years ago with the support, care and attention it enjoys, to flourish a variety of unique specializations that resulted in high-level scientific cadres.

Dr. Darwish referred to the role of the Excellence and Creativity Authority in spreading the culture of excellence and monitoring the cases of creative people, believing that the nation's true wealth lies in the minds of its children with the real investment in partnership with the scientific and research bodies, and that the successes achieved increase the incentive to expand these scientific partnerships and build new academic programs according to what It is imposed by national needs and labor market data, so that these young energies can be a reliable model in the process of scientific research and development in Syria.

Distinguished student Reem Daniel Shaheen, “Specialization in Materials Science and Engineering” in the graduates' speech, pointed out the important responsibility entrusted to the distinguished in their long journey that started from the National Center for Excellence and moved to academic programs within bold and confident steps that succeeded in facing challenges and reaching their interim goals.

During the ceremony, an “infographic” video was shown that included, in the language of numbers, the tracks of the academic programs and a musical paragraph presented by the duo of qanun and violin, Aws and Gebran Zeina, students of the Higher Institute of Music, in addition to the distribution of certificates to graduates.

It is decided that the graduates of the academic programs will continue their postgraduate studies within a new but external delegation in this scientific station to obtain a “master's and doctorate” to join their colleagues who preceded them by external dispatch to postgraduate studies to become the number of 200 distinguished and distinguished as they study in a selected group of foreign universities while ensuring their work after Returning to the homeland in the most important scientific and research institutions and bodies, with their new and advanced knowledge and broad scientific prospects.

The Excellence and Creativity Commission includes three departments: the Syrian Scientific Olympiad, the National Center for Excellence and the Academic Programs, and the total number of students for academic programs in the undergraduate and postgraduate stages reaches 440 students who are graduates of the National Center for Excellence.

The graduation ceremony was attended by Eng. Hala Dakkak, Chairman of the Excellence and Creativity Authority, Dr. Amr Armnazi, Director of the Center for Scientific Studies and Research, Dr. Muhammad Maher Kabakibi, President of Damascus University, Deans of Faculties of Science and Pharmacy, the Higher Institute for Applied Sciences and Technology, the Higher Institute for Laser Sciences and its Applications at Damascus University and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering at Tishreen University, and the coordinators of academic programs .
