Not many musicians publicly express their support for Donald Trump, in the upcoming US presidential election, certainly not the black ones among them.

But yesterday (Tuesday), veteran rapper '50 Cent 'surprised many Americans by announcing that he supports the incumbent president for a second term.

In a post he posted on his Instagram account, the singer expressed concern that if Democratic candidate Joe Biden is elected president, he will implement his proposal to raise tax rates for people with significantly higher than average incomes, in places like California, New Jersey, New York State and New York City. .

Fifty found the figures particularly annoying, and he did not seem to be really happy with the idea that the state would collect 62 percent tax on his income.

"What the hell (Trump voted)," wrote the musician, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, along with a screenshot of an offer from the CNBC business news channel.

"Fuck New York. The Knicks never win anyway."

Alongside this, the rapper added an unpopular opinion to say the least, when he declared: "I do not care that Trump does not like blacks. 62 percent? Are you crazy?".

This is a particularly extraordinary statement this year, in which the American president was perceived as not taking the allegations of the black protest in the US last spring very seriously and refusing to condemn the actions of the police.

Various music sites in the United States have sought to comment that for a variety of economic reasons, the chance that high-income people will indeed pay tax at this height is not very realistic, and that it is a rather misleading screenshot.

Fifty Cent, they say, will in no way pay such a heavy tax on his place of residence which is in Texas.

The post caused a stir but also brought to the singer a prominent supporter in the person of Candace Evans, the media woman and black activist, who is affiliated with the Conservative Party in the United States.

Evans has responded to Jackson with a number of emojis praising his statement.

It should be noted that Evans has in the past criticized many of the Republican side of American politics and President Trump himself, but has since changed her views and expressed strong support for them.

She also criticized the Black Lives Matter movement.

Cent later shared a screenshot from an edition that featured a tweet from conservative (and also black) personality Katrina Pearson, which read "I guess Fifty Cent does not want to be 20 cents."

"Yes, I do not want to be 20 cents," he wrote.

"62 percent is a very bad idea."

For Fifty Cent, this is an interesting change of attitude, given the fact that he previously described the Trump regime as an "accident" and said he was offered a sum of $ 500,000 to publicly support his presidential campaign.
