PMIS syndrome involves the involvement of respiratory and gastrointestinal symptoms, signs of inflammation in the membranes such as the mouth and various skin rashes as well as severe cardiac involvement.

To date, the syndrome has been found worldwide in hundreds of children who have been positive for the corona virus, most of them aged 5-18.

Most patients required hospitalization in intensive care units and some developed shock.

The duration of hospitalization ranges from one to two weeks, during which the children needed various treatments such as intravenous immunoglobulin infusion, and steroids.

Some patients even needed artificial respiration.

Prof. Greenberg adds: "Early detection and rapid and appropriate treatment of the syndrome are usually leading to recovery and it is important that the public and doctors are aware of it. From the reports received so far, Clinics similar to those of toxic shock syndrome (similar to sepsis) ".
