Security guards at the Airports Authority took advantage of their entry permits to Ben Gurion Airport during the closure, and entered to play football at the Ben Gurion Airport football field in complete violation of the guidelines.
One of the security guards was found to be corona blue, and apparently - caused an infection among the team that entered the football field - "Israel Today" learned.
The incident occurred a little less than two weeks ago.
The entry permits of those security guards, as of many employees of the Airports Authority, allow them to pass through most areas of the airport almost freely.
The security guards took advantage of their entry permits and the relatively sparse traffic of visitors and employees at Ben Gurion Airport during the closure, and "swarmed" to the football field.
"Israel Today" has learned that all the security guards who participated in the underground game were sent to solitary confinement, which is expected to end in two days.
According to the information that reached "Israel Today", this is at least one other case of infection, and it is possible that there are other cases among the same group of security guards.
The security guards belong to a reputed security unit, and the embarrassing case is currently under investigation.
The Airports Authority responded: "These are a number of security personnel who played football in their free time outside working hours. Their isolation will end this coming Friday."
