In the federal report this morning, the health authorities specified that the daily average of COVID-19 infections in the last seven days was 14,409.
They also pointed out that the incidence rate is 2,246 positives per 100,000 inhabitants.
Regarding the patients with the disease in intensive care, 34.7% are in the Province of Buenos Aires, 30.3% in Córdoba and 5% in Santa Fe.
The federal report was headed this Wednesday by the Secretary of Health Equity,
Martín Sabignoso,
who highlighted that since the beginning of the pandemic the Argentine health system incorporated more than 4,000 intensive care beds and 77% of them joined the public sector .
On the other hand, he said that 60% of those diagnosed in the public system have social work and 53% of those admitted to public hospitals also have coverage.
"The public system has been fundamental to guarantee access to health not only to people who do not have social work but to the entire population," said the official.
Likewise, Sabignoso provided details about the
Tele-Covid program
that has been operating throughout the country since April and that allows the population with exclusive public coverage to consult with a professional through a cell phone, computer or other electronic device.
This complementary system allows the monitoring of people diagnosed with coronavirus avoiding their circulation, but also facilitates the care of patients with chronic diseases or who are far from health centers.
Since April, 83 thousand consultations of this type have been carried out, 70% to people with chronic non-communicable diseases, Sabignoso reported.
In this sense, the Ministry of Health of the Nation delivered 170 complete telemedicine kits to healthcare centers and derived 128 million pesos to the provinces to strengthen the service.
