Outbreak at the national swimming meeting in Livigno. Ten athletes tested positive for covid,
after the round of swabs carried out: among these there is also the blue champion
Simona Quadarella.
All athletes, says the FIN, are asymptomatic.
All the members of the technical-health staff are negative.
The tests were carried out following the positivity, which emerged yesterday, by Simone Sabbioni and Alice Mizzau.
The collegiate meeting, which was scheduled until November 5, has been suspended and as ordered by the local ASL, all those summoned will remain in isolation and quarantine at the hotel.
The positive blues are
Federico Burdisso, Martina Rita Caramignoli, Gabriele Detti, Marco De Tullio, Stefano Di Cola, Sara Gailli, Edoardo Giorgetti, Matteo Lamberti, Alessio Proietti Colonna and Simona Quadarella.
The college began on 11 October and all the swimmers had passed the tests with negative results before gathering.
The swabs, explains the Fin, were performed the day after the positivity found by Sabbioni and Mizzau aggregated to the selection of San Marino who stayed in a different hotel and carried out training at other times than the Azzurri.
Of the Italian group only Zuin and Calloni were not positive.
