(ANSA) - MILAN, OCTOBER 21 - The Milan Court of Appeal has declared the prescription of the crime for the mayor Giuseppe Salà, accused of forgery, as former CEO and sole commissioner of Expo, as part of the trial with the maxi procurement for the Service Plate. The mayor ended up being accused as he had signed two backdated minutes that served to replace two incompatible commissioners in the race. Initially he was sentenced to six months, converted into a penalty of 45 thousand euros, and was granted the mitigation of having acted for reasons of "particular moral or social value". The crime was prescribed in November 2019.
