Corona victims' scandal:

In recent hours, the network has been in turmoil, after

GLC reporter

Hadas Steif published a tweet (which has since been deleted as she herself noted in another tweet), in which she claimed that hospitals pay tens of thousands of shekels to families who die.

"Cafe owner: My brother-in-law was very ill and died at the hospital in Jerusalem. They called his widow. They asked her to sign that he died of corona for 70,000 shekels. Why? , Steiff tweeted.

Steif's charged tweet caused a stir, and received a sharp response from Hadassah Hospital: "How low is the media, and especially the social media associated with well-known reporters can go down. Hadas Steif published a false report today as if offering families to confirm the cause of death is corona for a fee. "When the hospital receives money for every deceased person from the state. It is false, low and degrading to anyone who even puts it in writing! Shame on you, Hadas Steif," it was written.

Steif did not remain indifferent to the tweet and wrote in response: "Hadassah Hospital decides to publish a response message to my tweet. For some reason the hospital decided it was a hurry, and hurried to slander me. Show me a Hadassah Hospital spokeswoman, where is the hospital mentioned in the tweet? Where did you hear from me?" "This claim? You will be honored and published. If not, you will be in a hurry to apologize for her reaction."

Steif's tweet comes after Lavi Yosef posted a tweet on the "Tweeting Status" page earlier this month, detailing the circumstances of his father's death, and quoting it two days later on the Facebook page "Velvet Underground" by journalist and blogger Dvorit Shargel.

"On Monday, October 5, Lavi Yosef published this post (I shortened and edited it with your permission), and all those convinced that Corona's death here immediately found a nice grip," she wrote and then quoted the original post: "I do not deny Corona, but: Two weeks ago my father passed away At the gates of justice after seven weeks his heart fought.Card attack, recovery, cardiac arrest and no less than three resuscitations that caused his body and vital parts to fall like dominoes.During these weeks he was tested three times for corona and found negative, including a test on the last day of his life. 5:15 in the morning with the correct cause of death.

"Immediately afterwards the hospital nurse appeared and asked me to sign an 'identification form'. When I took the form I saw that it was not an identification form but a statement that my father had passed away from Kovid 19! I asked for the form to be interpreted and replied: 'It is for a burial society. Loud shouts they realized I was not willing to sign a false statement and trade in my father's body and got off the matter.

"And I ask: 1. Is there a financial gain from such a statement and if so what is it? 2. Are the numbers of deaths engineered in favor of someone? Reserved for when little? ".

This is Shaare Zedek's response: "First of all, we share the family's grief and wish them health and good news. The patient was not diagnosed with coronary heart disease and the cause of death was not coronary and so it was written in all records. Due to exposure in the ward where the patient was hospitalized, the staff acted according to Ministry of Health. Verified or suspects who require the burial society to be notified so that the necessary precautions can be taken. The form is not a consent form on the cause of death but a form for the burial society informing the details of the deceased. As suspects to Corona in the process of notifying the burial society.

It is important to emphasize that there is no consideration or economic gain or any consideration other than the well-being of patients and families.

"Following the post published by the son, Shaare Zedek's VP spoke to him and explained the details to him.

We apologize for the mental anguish caused to the family and wish them only good news. "

Shergel notes that she sent him a message on Facebook herself in an attempt to find out the story with him, but he did not respond to it.

"In any case, he did not publish any explanation, apology, anything. Nothing. 1.2 thousand comments 1.6 thousand shares for his post, 1.8 thousand likes. What will the public remember? Who lie and write that the cause of death is Corona, when she is not," she wrote.
