Cabotage flights started: these were the first destinations of Aerolineas Argentinas

With the departures on the morning of Thursday, October 22, to Jujuy, Mendoza, Ushuaia and Tucumán, Aerolineas Argentinas began its regular operation of domestic flights, suspended for more than seven months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The company announced that flights to Mendoza, Córdoba and Salta will depart on Friday 23, while on Saturday 24 a frequency will be operated to Trelew (Chubut), and on Sunday it will be the turn of Bahía Blanca, Mendoza, Córdoba, Resistencia, Mar del Silver and Salta.

In addition, between today and tomorrow the company has scheduled departures to Santiago de Chile, São Paulo and Miami.

In total, if the trips to and from all scheduled destinations are recorded during the first 48 hours, more than 2,500 people will use the company's flights, with an average flight occupancy of 70%.

“While we never stop operating flights, we are happy to be able to do so again on a regular basis.

We hope that this restart of operations will be beneficial both for passengers who need to use the air service, as well as for the company, ”said Pablo Ceriani.

Aerolineas Argentinas asked passengers to comply with the required documentation and download the CUIDAR application on the phone to facilitate checks both upon departure and arrival.

Having the documentation is essential to enter the passenger hall.

Failure to present the requested documentation will prevent passengers from boarding

the flights.

Work is also being done on the programming of those destinations that have established control through PCR or testing, such as Bariloche, Neuquén, Corrientes, Posadas or Iguazú, among others.

Likewise, the operation with San Juan, Comodoro Rivadavia and Catamarca will begin during the following week.

Other destinations, such as El Calafate, Rosario, Santa Fe and Río Grande, will do so in the first days of November.

From the company they clarified that they will upload the flight schedule on their website in the next few hours so that passengers can check the status of services and the specific requirements of each destination.
